To witness, to pray, to serve, to inform, to support, to build.

diversity.

principles into their work.
·
To serve the Probation Service’s aims of protecting the public and
reducing re-offending.
·
To inform a Christian perspective on probation policy and practice.
·
To support Christian staff within the Probation service through local
and national networks.
·
To build links with churches, and community and professional groups,
supporting their engagement with offenders.
We want to help staff to think through issues around faith,
criminal justice and the work place. We support a national network of
office-based prayer groups, enabling Christian staff to meet together
regularly for mutual support and prayer. To encourage members to unite
in prayer we send out weekly email reminders of the given criminal
justice related topic from our prayer diary. ‘CIP e-bites’ is a monthly
email for members to communicate prayer needs or encouragements and the
sharing of ideas of what other Christians are doing in the workplace. We
encourage staff to sit on equalities consultation panels and other such
forums. We publish a bi-annual newsletter and hold an Annual Conference.
Christians in Probation is a registered charity (number 1059037) and is
run by an executive committee that meets quarterly.
